Welcome to the website of Southampton Hospital Radio. We have been broadcasting to the patients and now the Hospital Community of Southampton continuously since October 1952.
You can listen live, via our link at the top of the page.
Patients can also enjoy us in stereo on their supplied bedside Spark units.
If you require headphones please ask one of the Nurses they may be able to help.
Affiliated to the National Hospital Broadcasting Association (HBA) and serving the hospitals in the UHS Foundation Trust, we provide entertainment to the patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. We were honoured to be awarded the Queens Award for Voluntary Service on the 2nd June 2012.
As well as programmes from our studios, we also produce Outside Broadcasts and Public Address events. One of our regular Outside Broadcasts are live commentaries for all of Southampton FC's men's team home games from St. Mary's Stadium. Due to copyright issues we can only broadcast live football to patients in the hospital via the bedside Spark system. During this time, listeners online will still be able to hear our normal day listing programmes.
